From January 1962 to August 1963, The Tornados ( pioneered, named and owned by Joe Meek ) were the backing band of Billy Fury (as well as recording and performing as an act in their own right); they toured and recorded with Fury as The Tornados.
Fast forward to today the current line up still keeping the beat alive are -
