The Trems
Silence is golden
he Tremeloes
silence is golden
Originally formed in 1958 the Tremeloes were signed by Decca records on the same day Decca turned down The Beatles. And with their lead singer Brian Poole, had their first hit with 'Twist and Shout' other hits soon followed 'Someone Someone' - 'Candy Man' and 'Do You Love Me' they toured all over the globe stopping in Europe - Scandinavia - Australia and South Africa playing to packed houses every night.
in 1966 it was decided that their lead singer Brian Poole was to leave to pursue a solo career and the Tremeloes carried on as a now familiar four piece. And still the hits came 'Suddenly You Love Me' - 'Here Comes My Baby' - 'Even The Bad Times Are Good' ...and the mega world wide selling hit 'Silence Is Golden'
following the last original member Dave Munden's retirement after 56 years as drummer & lead singer, the three remaining members brought on board Drummer Philip Wright and have bought the band into the 21st century by shortening the name to the Trems to appeal to a younger audiance.
so taking it forward the members are Joe Gillingham - Keyboards / Vocals who joined in 1987 - Jeff Brown Bass Guitar/Vocals who joined in 2005 then with Syd Twynham on Lead Guitar/Vocals and Phillip Wright on drums completes the new line up.
They are still busy constantly touring at home and abroad headlining various festivals
